THE update..

after another long long pause, here's me blogging again. am gonna make this one real quick, as i'm in an internet cafe, making full use of my last few minutes.

15th DEC : Graduated in Telstra Dome. my family came - dad, uncle, grandmama, gary and jason(brothers). main purpose was to see me graduate, they went to the night market instead and missed my graduation. according to my bros, they didnt miss it, they just came 2 hours late. oh well....glad they enjoyed melbourne anyways.

18th DEC : my family n i went to surfers' paradise. beautiful beaches. had a lovely time. went for my first surfing lesson. it's 2 hours long. managed to stand on the surf board 3 times. hehe. it was fun trying to catch the waves. gary hurt his back, plus he couldnt stand on the board. perhaps it's karma, for not attending my graduation, huh!

25th DEC : spent christmas day in brisbane, had a nice lunch. went to the airport at bout 8pm. said my goodbyes, family (cept for jason) went back home. me n bro spent that night in a car - the start of our CRAZY roadtrip...

* crazy roadtrip - rented a hyundau getz for 2 weeks. plans: drive up to cairns, then to sydney, back to brisbane. from there, my bro will fly back to malaysia, and me back to melbourne. all in all, we will be covering about 5200km by car. we will be sleeping in our lil red car, and bathing in public toilets and petrol stations.

* the hyundai getz : a hotel cum car, 2 door, manual (have always liked manual, so that's ok, but bro wasnt very used to it), very small, cheapest we can find.

26th DEC : the first morning of my trip. yesterday`s sleep in the car wasnt very comfortable, but managed to sleep anyways. found a public toilet by the beach that has a shower. only cold water. it's main purpose was for ppl to have a rinse after their beach activities, but that'll do. it`s really cold, plus u get an 8am wind blowing in from the sea. hesitated a long while, just staring at the cold water b4 jumping into the showers. had to wash my hair. felt good after that.

erm, time's up, will report again soon. really want to put up pics, but cant at the moment. will do so when i have the opportunity.

my brother n i thought that a journey is as important as the destination, so this is an xperience. am enjoying it. will enjoy it more if there's no mosquitoes. i get more than 3 bites a day. and i think a wasp stung me on my arm yesterday. not it's a bit painful but not swollen.
